Let Emma help you find a Rainbow!
Are you going through tough times and finding that you are struggling to make sense of it all?
Whether it is grief, loneliness, despair, or a feeling of constant confusion… in a One-on-One session Emma will listen to you and, using her own unique brand of non-judgemental, practical but caring advice, she will work with you to help you to find an inner calm and the sparks of light and joy that exist within us all.
About Emma
Emma was a happily married mother of two young girls with a successful career as a solicitor, but her life was turned upside down when her husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Living as a widow since 2016, Emma has learnt the hard way how to be a “good enough” parent of two young girls whilst dealing with the challenges her new life throws at her. Emma’s personal experiences coupled with her practical knowledge as a non-practicing solicitor and a trainee counsellor make her an ideal person to help you see the wood from the trees either from a practical paperwork point of view, an emotional point of view or, of course, both.
How Emma can help you*:
- Legal Paperwork
Do you know you need to write a Will or a set up a Power of Attorney but don’t know where to start? Emma can help you understand what needs to be done and give you guidance on the more detailed matters often not dealt with by solicitors, such as instructions for loved ones about end of life wishes and instructions for guardians about your legacy and the live you wish for your children.
- Probate
Are you worried about the burden of administering the estate of a loved one? Do you need help with the more practical side of probate such as personal possessions, family relationships, pets and utility bills? Emma can provide practical and emotional support alongside your solicitor that enables the process to run smoother.
- Life and Critical Illness Cover
Are you panicking about not having critical illness cover or life insurance and you don’t know where to turn? Emma can illustrate why it is important and give you direction on where and how to start.
- Self-Care
If there is one thing that Emma has learnt the hard way it is that if you are burnt out, stressed and overwhelmed then you simply cannot give the best of yourself to help others. Emma can help you put together a self-care plan which helps you to prioritise yourself and she can be your accountability buddy to help you keep on track.
- Caring for others
No matter what your caring responsibilities are, if you are struggling with your role as carer, Emma will be the friend you need and she can give you emotional support to keep going.
- Tricky Conversations
Sometimes you simply cannot talk to family or friends about difficult situations and it is easy to feel overwhelmed. Instead of burying your head in the sand, Emma can help you see the wood from the trees and help you find the way forwards towards the light.
How the One-on-One’s work
Emma’s One-on-Ones are done remotely via Zoom. They are completely confidential and private.
After booking the first appointment, Emma will send you a short questionnaire to fill in so she can get a feel for your situation and what you need help with.
All appointments last for 45minutes and cost £90.
* Please note that Emma is no longer a practicing solicitor, therefore Emma is unable to draft legal documents or give specific legal advice. In addition, Emma is not regulated by the Financial Services Authority so she cannot give financial advice.
